This evening after picking up her pup, one pet parent texted me about a very lost-looking turtle on the road a few houses up from us. In our 3 years here in FL, we've come to the rescue of numerous turtles that were on the road. The ones in our neighborhood, we've returned to the pond behind our house. The ones on the main roads, we take to grassy areas away from the roads. It's always a good feeling to take an animal to safety.
Usually our beagle Bailey is interested in turtles so we let him out of fence to investigate. He was only slightly interested this time.
