This is the Blog for Lori's Pawzitive FX PetSitting/Dog Daycare/Boarding services in Winter Haven, Florida. Here we share the amusing goings-on, what's new and all about our new visitors. Please enjoy and also follow us on Facebook.
We had Lucy the doberman puppy over for the day for daycare. Unfortunately for Lucy, she had been attacked by a neighborhood dog this week and incurred a neck and ear injury so she is wrapped up and has an Elizabethan collar on, which of course, inhibits a lot of interaction she would normally do. I could still throw a ball for her and play with her, however Bailey was pretty nervous around her so their interaction was limited.
Bailey was excited to have Lucy to play with but at the same time was a bit intimidated by the cone
Bailey is thinking about it...
Lucy watches the ducks
The sweet little Girl..........
Her ear has to stay bandaged
She enjoyed time in the yard
Bailey & Lucy spending time in the sunshine
I spent some time in the lanai supervising Lucy & Bailey
We wish Lucy a speedy recovery and to return to play in full personality and energy!
and her Sister, Lyra, also has a flirty new collar!
Stella has a new furcut!
and she was showing off when I brought her over from the Groomers!

And THEN, there's Mr. Bailey Beagle...........
...who seemed hypnotized by his Mama's tunafish pocket! (Stella was watching him carefully.....)
For leverage, Mr. Bailey takes his eyes off the pocket and stares his Momma in the eye!
Strategy: MELT HER HEART
Bailey's patience is wearing thin. His eyes are saying, 'Momma, oh pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase share your pocket with me!
He needed some distraction so he tore into the grocery bag, looking for a dog treat
(yes, there was one in there for him)

Lyra wasn't with us on Monday as she was at the Vets getting her skin infection cared for
(we missed her)
Lyra likes Bailey's squeaky serpent
(we think she chose it because it matched her wrap :) )
After playtime, it is NAP TIME
and since the temps are so wonderful this time of year, the dogs napped/relaxed outdoors
Lyra & Bailey shared space
Stella chose to nap in the shade
Mr. Bob has been taking some time off work as well as working from home, so Lyra & Juno like to have him around as he plays with them and this morning, also fed them some of his raw broccoli!
Juno was so thrilled that she danced for him!
We have no favorites at Pawzitive FX, however some Canines work their magic and well, it seems to work for them. For example, when Mr. Bob feels Juno's paws on his leg or when she whimpers or when she suddenly jumps up on his lap, he then gives her joys unspeakable!
He rubs her, massages her, pets her.
...and SHE KNOWS she has him wrapped around her long, curly tail!
H.E.A.V.E.N.!!!!!
Pet Parents, be assured that your K9's are supremely loved and cherished at Pawzitive FX!
With these wonderful cooler temperatures in the morning, the dogs love to stay outside the whole playdate! Here were our attendees today:
Stella

Lyra
Juno:
Juno & Bailey: Sometimes they sit in the shade
Sometimes they lay around in the sun
There is a significant area of shade heavy with dew when the dogs arrive in the morning and they were VERY rambunctious this morning (see video)
and while running to and fro, they all accumulated a great degree of dirt on their paws.
I was able to wipe off Bailey's, Lyra's and Juno's, however because of the type of fur on and the color of Stella's fur on her paws,
I decided I'd better try to clean them as best I could before sending her home!
I resorted to dipping them in water to try to wash off. She wasn't too keen on the idea, so I did it as quickly as I could. See the resulting color of the water!!!!
and the color of Stella's paws: not as good as I wished but not as dirty as before :)
All in all, another PAWZITIVE day at Pawzitive FX!
